Assessment and Strategy |
Based on your academic and professional background, we can work with you to determine the best strategy for applying to course that best fit your needs. We start the application process by spending time with the student and his/her parents to know about the student’s financial and academic background, his personality, and his aspirations. This exercise is done to determine the best strategy for applying to a course and universities/colleges that fits the student’s need where he/she can grow emotionally, intellectually and socially.
We also provide the students/parents with realistic estimates of the tuition, living and other hidden expenses so that they are well aware of their financial responsibilities. They are made aware of the extent to which financial assistance, if any, is available to them as foreign students. We are familiar with the admissions process and have succeeded at the highest level. We will tell you what admission officers want to read and will expect to hear from you. Together we will build your profile according to the admissions officer’s expectations

Short-Listing Universities |
Short-listing universities to actually apply to is one of the most crucial parts of your application process and can sometimes be very frustrating, with so many choices and suggestions from friends, teachers and relatives. Ironically, most students take it very casually without realizing the fact that the university they select could shape or ruin their career.
Often, we find students applying to the same university in which their friends or seniors are either studying or applying without realizing the fact whether their friends’ profile and interests match with their’s or not. Also, a majority of students apply to those universities that are close to their relative’s residence that again is not the right approach. In most cases either the students get a rejection thereby wasting a lot of money or end up getting a university that is a complete mismatch with their profile, a fact that they realize only after joining the university.
At GC, we adopt a utilitarian approach to short-list the universities for our students. Each of our clients is unique, and we have services to accommodate everyone’s needs. We use our knowledge and experience to help you select the universities that not only matches with your profile but also takes care of your family’s budget and your aspirations.
This choice is given to the student, as he/she must ultimately decide whether the University providing the specialization is suitable or not. The entire exercise also enhances your visa chances and probability of getting financial assistance. We have personal insights gained from visiting hundreds of colleges and therefore we can give you a much deeper understanding of a college than a catalog or web site can offer. |

Preparation of Statement of Purpose |
The Statement of Purpose (SOP) is a statement of your academic and career goals and background. It is your chance to talk directly to the admissions committee. It is one of the most important documents that admission committees will use to evaluate you as a candidate for higher studies. Having a good SOP can often compensate for an ordinary academic record and a modest score, making it possible for even an average student to get admission to a good University and obtain financial assistance. To help you prepare a good SOP we put you through personal sessions with our counsellors who will provide content and grammatical feedback to ensure that your responses are appropriate and of the highest quality.

Recommendation letters |
Recommendations are a critical part of your application and must come from the right type of person while also making a meaningful statement about you since they are meant to provide a third-person perspective on you as an individual. Hence, good recommendations certify that you are a student of really high calibre. Unfortunately, a number of applications ask for elaborate recommendations that are frequently a burden on faculty and superiors. It's not uncommon to hear of faculty asking the student to write his/her own recommendation and then editing them for effect. We can advise you on the best person to ask for a recommendation and what to ask that person to highlight in the document based on your areas of interest and academic background.
